PADDON RALLY FOUNDATION

The objective of the Paddon Rally Foundation is to encourage the growth of the sport Rallying in New Zealand by assisting aspiring competitors from Club Level,  National Level and where appropriate and possible, at International Level. In order to achieve this objective the Foundation has adopted a strategy, commencing in 2017, to annually assist as many competitors as possible at all levels of the sport in order to build the profile of the Rallying throughout New Zealand.

LEVELS & CATEGORIES

There will be four categories for funding applications for drivers, co-drivers and car clubs, and they, togther with approximate allocation of allocation of available funding are:

Club Novice 25%
Rally (all levels) 25%
National /International 30%
Car Club 20%

CLUB/NOVICE

No age limits

Open for drivers and co-drivers

Must not have competed in any national level of motorsport

Must compete in a minimum of 3 club events next 12 months

Support ranging from race-gear product support, fuel vouchers and up to $2,000 financial assistance.

RALLY

No age limits

Open for drivers and co-drivers

Must not have competed in any national level of motorsport

Must compete in a minimum of 3 club events next 12 months

Support ranging from race-gear product support, fuel vouchers and up to $2,000 financial assistance.

NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL

No age limits

Open for drivers and co-drivers

Must not have competed in any national level of motorsport

APPLICATION CRITERIA

Together with this Overview you will find the individual application forms for each category. These forms detail the application criteria, what you can apply for and, if successful what obligations you have. So that there is no misunderstanding over these matters, in particular the obligations you will have if successful, you are encouraged to read through the complete set of documents carefully

FUTURE FUNDING

The successful Applicants will be selected on a range of criteria including commitment, motivation, goals, and importantly results. Successful Applicants may re-apply for further funding in subsequent years. There will also be a reward funding scheme whereby a successful Applicant who achieves his or her goals or outstanding results will be eligible to a receive a percentage of the original amount of granted funds for the following season, funds permitting.
