2020 Rally is yet TBC due to COVID-19, date/time may change.

The South Canterbury Rally will feature the regions gravel public roads including some of the infamous old stages from the years gone by. With over 200km in one day, this event is going to test teams speed and endurance. Also the home place of where Hayden was born and grew up, the event has special meaning.

Fast Facts

  • Hayden home rally that he first won in 2008. Roads where he learnt to drive.

Iconic Stage

  • Finishing at the regions local race track, Levels raceway, is an iconic end to a big days of rallying. Levels has been the home of South Canterbury motorsport for over 50 years.

Challenge

  • Very fast stages where top end speed is crucial, with long straights and long periods of stages that are flat out in top gear
  • Single pass reduce with such fast stages make for a nice challenge
  • Mid Winter date mean very cold conditions can bring frosty/icey conditions.

Car Setup

  • Very low ride height and less drag for the high speed stages
  • Very low tyre wear
